The North Hagerstown Lions club will sponsor a second Chicken BBQ to

benefit Holly Place on Sunday, November 16th. Holly Place, a local home for

indigent seniors, is in dire need of funds.

“Wow! We really sold out fast on Sunday, November 2nd! We were really

overwhelmed by the support of the people that came out to buy chicken
dinners

To help Holly Place,” said North Hagerstown Lions Vice President Bill
Cooper,

who chaired the event.

The activity will again be held on the parking lot of Always Ron’s

Restaurant, 29 North Burhans Boulevard.

“We plan to start earlier and have more chicken than we did last time,

Hopefully, we won’t turn anyone away hungry,“ Cooper said. “People can
call me

at 301-991-4949 and I will reserve meals for them.“

The event is scheduled between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The carry out meal

will consist of half a chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, and roll for a
