If you, a family member or a friend is over age 55 and experiencing vision loss, Blind Industries and Services of Maryland can help. Blind Industries and Services of Maryland's Cumberland branch provides comprehensive skills training in Braille, cane travel, home maintenance, and computers for blind and visually impaired seniors. This training is now available to Washington County residents each Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Church located on 15 Randolph Ave in Hagerstown, MD from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. BISM also hosts a monthly support group meeting that focuses on issues related to seniors with vision loss.
