Tuesday, August 5th through Saturday, August 9th Grace, Saint Matthew's and Washington Square United Methodist Churches are coming together to hold their Vacation Bible School, "Beach Party:  Surfin' Through the Scriptures."  VBS will be held 6pm through 8:30pm each night.  Classes are for children in Pre-K through 6th grade.  Pre-registration will be held on July 29th and 30th from 10am to 1pm by calling:  (301) 797-7370. 

Offerings for the week will be canned food to support the Food Bank.

CITY OF HAGERSTOWN ADVISORY

SPEAKER AT HAGERSTOWN RAILROAD MUSEUM

 

The Hagerstown Railroad Museum at City Park is pleased to welcome the Chief Curator of the B&O Railroad Museum, Mr. Dave Shakleford, as he presents a free presentation of railroad history on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 7 p.m.

            Mr. Shakleford will trace the railroad from the early history and development through its importance during the Civil War period.  An emphasis will be placed on the evolution of the Western Maryland Railroad and the general expansion of the railroad in our region.  Please plan to join us for this unique and interesting evening.
