The Tide ministry in Chambersburg, PA is excited to announce its 3rd annual Your Soles ~ Their Souls shoe drive. The community has generously donated more than 8,000 pairs of shoes over the past 2 years; with this year's goal set at 5,000 pairs.
The 2024 drive will be held between January 2nd and March 6th, and the community can get involved by donating new or gently used pairs of shoes, promoting and collecting shoes at churches, businesses, or organization locations, or becoming a community drop off site.
Shoes collected will be picked up by a partnering organization to be used in microenterprise in developing countries around the world, and the funds received will be used to further The Tide Literacy classes to villagers in India.

Do you have good books you no longer need? The Friends of Legal Services group will gladly receive them on its two Book Drop-Off Days, Saturday, March 2 and Saturday, March 23, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Bring them to the group’s book storage space at the MobileWorks building, 2116 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg (next to Snavely’s Garden Corner).
The group accepts new and used books of all types in good condition, plus CDs (including audio books), DVDs, sheet music, puzzles, and board games, but not encyclopedias, textbooks, or phonograph records. All proceeds help provide legal services in civil cases to low-income families in our area.
And, mark your calendars for the sale itself: Friday, June 7 through Sunday, June 9, at its new location—the Fayetteville Elementary School.
